OPERA SARATOGA DEBUT SEASON: Belinda in Dido and Aeneas;  The Shrink/Aunt Sarah cover in The Long Walk

In her debut with Opera Saratoga, Soprano Christine Suits will be singing Belinda in Dido and Aeneas, and will be covering The Shrink, Aunt Sarah, and Iraqi Woman in the world premier of The Long Walk.  She currently resides in South Florida and studies with legendary Romanian soprano Virginia Zeani. She has appeared as Countess Almaviva and Barbarina (Nozze di Figaro), Vespetta (Pimpinone), Angelica, the Lay Sister, Prima Cercatrice (Suor Angelica), Pamina (Die Zauberflöte), Fraarte (Radamisto), and has sung with Manhattan Opera Studio, Miami Summer Music Festival, Opera San Jose, Palm Beach Opera, Opera on Tap San Francisco, Opera Chapman, Opera Santa Cruz, and Opera Festival di Roma. Christine was most recently a finalist in the prestigious Irene Dalis Competition in San Jose, CA, the first place winner of the Florida Suncoast Opera Guild’s young professionals competition in March 2014, and a quarter finalist of the BRAVA! Opera Competition.
