We invite you to join us for a celebratory soirée on the shores of Lake George, where Opera Saratoga was founded almost sixty years ago. The Inn at Erlowest hosts our 2019 Opera Gala, "Opera on the Lake" where the gentle lapping of water against the shore and the mesmerizing talents of Opera Saratoga’s artists await you! Cocktails and dinner overlooking the lake, a live auction of exclusive experiences, a raffle featuring several unique items, and a special program of opera and song will highlight this very special evening, which is our most important fundraising event of the year. Net proceeds from Opera on the Lake will benefit Opera Saratoga’s extensive community and educational programs, and the 2019 Summer Festival.

Judy and Jeff Killeen, Honorary Chairs
Jeff and Judy Killeen have been instrumental in the legacy of Opera Saratoga, serving a combined 12 years on the Opera Saratoga board of trustees, and they sponsoring numerous individual artists and mainstage productions. The Killeens have opened their home for many opera events, and Judy has been a leader/member of the opera gala committee for twenty years.
Judy Killeen first fell in love with Opera when her eighth grade music teacher introduced her to Carmen. After a successful career in sales and marketing with Dun and Bradstreet and Saks Fifth Avenue, Judy retired in order to start a family. She reconnected with Opera when she worked with the Westport, CT school system as a member of the Cultural Arts Committee, a group that supplemented the shrinking arts education with innovative arts programs and performers. In 2017, Judy moved on from the Opera Saratoga board to create a new nonprofit organization, The Friends of Up Yonda Farm, which raises funds for the environmental education center in Bolton Landing.
Jeff Killeen’s professional career spans 40 years in the media, information technology and internet industries. Most recently, he was Chairman & CEO of GlobalSpec in Albany. Prior to GlobalSpec, Jeff was founding CEO of both Forbes.com and Pacific Bell Interactive Media. He also led the formation of barnesandnoble.com, and worked as a President at the Dun & Bradstreet Corporation. He is currently Chair of Center for Disability Services and the Chair of The FUND for Lake George, as well as a Partner with IBM and RPI on the Jefferson Project.
