Immerse yourself in the tastes and sounds of Italy at this year's Pasta & Puccini. Begin the evening with cocktails and handmade hors d'oeuvres before you make your way into the grand Ballroom. For dinner, enjoy a feast of buratta ravioli with roasted yellow tomato sauce and young pecorino, and a duet entrée of grille petite filet mignon and pistachio encrusted market cod, whipped potatoes, grilled asparagus, and cabernet buerre rouge, paired with fine Italian wines handpicked by Prime's talented sommeliers. Our salute to Italian art and cuisine will culminate in a dessert of amaretto chocolate pot de créme with vanilla chantilly, chocolate almond biscotti, and sea salted caramel.
The evening's entertainment will feature arias and scenes from your favorite Italian operas, including a special preview of Verdis final opera - the comic masterpiece Falstaff - which opens Opera Saratoga’s Summer Festival in July! Three members of the 2017 Young Artist Program at Opera Saratoga will perform throughout the evening under the musical direction of Laurie Rogers: soprano Emily Tweedy, mezzo soprano Katherine Maysek, and baritone Andy Papas. Artistic and General Director Lawrence Edelson will host the program, which will include a few musical surprises you won't want to miss!
