OPERA SARATOGA DEBUT SEASON: Ramiro cover and Ensemble in La Cenerentola; Ensemble in Dido and Aeneas.
Tenor Brian Yeakley joins Opera Saratoga for the exciting opportunity to cover Don Ramiro in La Cenerentola. As a graduate from University of Houston, Brian spent the past year in Houston as the tenor for Houston Grand Opera Company’s “Opera-to-go!” Performances of 2015 include singing Ilo in West Edge Opera’s production of Zelmira, as well as his first Swan in Carmina Burana with the Victoria Symphony. Summer of 2014 included performing in Glimmerglass Opera Festival’s Young Artist Program as Brighella in Ariadne auf Naxos where he had the honor of performing alongside Christine Goerke and Rachele Gilmore. Highlights include Vanderdendur / Governor / Ragotski from Candide with the Moore’s School of Music; Count Almaviva in Il barbiere di Siviglia with Moore’s Opera Center; Don Luigino/Gelsomino and Count Libenskof cover in Il viaggio a Reims with Wolf Trap Opera Company. Brian was also a recipient of the Encouragement Award in December 2013 for the Houston District.
